ViNeat is an Android app designed to help you manage your household’s food, plan everyday meals, and reduce food waste. From checking what’s in your fridge to organizing your next grocery trip, ViNeat keeps your kitchen information together in one place.

Know What’s in Your Fridge

Maintain a food inventory with product names, quantities, prices, and expiry dates. The home dashboard gives you an overview of your supplies, including items approaching their expiry dates and products that have already expired.

Before shopping or cooking, check your inventory to see what you already have and which ingredients should be used first. You can also view the total recorded value of your food to understand how much is currently stored in your kitchen.

Add Groceries Your Way

ViNeat offers several ways to add food to your inventory:

• Receipt scanning: Take a photo or upload a receipt image. On-device OCR reads the text and extracts product information for you to review.
• Manual entry: Add individual items and enter their details yourself.
• Voice input: Describe the groceries you want to add, then review the recognized information before saving.
• Reusable templates: Save selected entries as a template to make recurring purchases easier to record.

You remain in control of what gets saved. Review product names, quantities, prices, and expiry dates, correct any mistakes, and select the items you want to add.

Find Ideas for Your Next Meal

Browse recipes and compare their ingredients with the food in your inventory. See what you already have and what is still missing before deciding what to cook.

Recipe details include suggested ingredient quantities, cooking times, difficulty levels, serving sizes, and estimated calories per serving. These details help you plan anything from a quick lunch to a family meal while making better use of your existing supplies.

Record Ingredients as You Use Them

Keep your inventory updated after cooking. Record ingredient usage through meal plans, manual selection, or voice input, and review quantities before confirming a deduction.

A recent usage history lets you look back at recorded activity. Keeping these entries up to date helps your inventory reflect what is actually available for your next meal.

Organize Your Household’s Shopping

Create a grocery list with item names and quantities, browse entries by category, and check off purchases as you shop.

Household members can coordinate through a shared list and see who added each item. Whether you are restocking essentials or buying ingredients for a recipe, ViNeat helps everyone keep track of what is needed.

Understand Your Food Habits

Household reports bring together your current inventory value and monthly activity. Review the recorded value of food used, food discarded, and expired stock, along with the number of meals marked as cooked.

These reports help you notice unused supplies and review your shopping and cooking habits over time. Reports are based on the information and activity recorded in the app.

Manage Food Together

Create or join a household to share food inventory, shopping lists, and recorded activity with family members. Shared information helps everyone stay informed about what is available, what needs to be purchased, and what has already been used.

Installation

Download the APK and open it on your Android device. If prompted, allow your browser or file manager to install apps from that source, then complete the installation.

Requirements: Android 7.0 or later. An internet connection is required for account access, household synchronization, and other online features.

Prototype Notes

ViNeat is an early prototype with a Vietnamese interface. Features are still being refined, and feedback is welcome.

Receipt scanning and voice recognition may produce incomplete or incorrect results. Please review entries before saving. Suggested expiry dates and calorie values are estimates; check product labels and food condition when making decisions about storage or consumption.

If you encounter a bug, sharing the steps you followed and a screenshot will help us investigate.
